While the COVID-19 outbreak in migrant worker dormitories has alerted the public of their precarious labor conditions, the outpouring of relief and goodwill are unlikely to address the systemic root causes.
Li Foundation is working together with the Asia Philanthropy Circle to support an Employer Certification Scheme (“ECS”) feasibility study project.

The study project aims to determine the feasibility of launching an ECS to recognise ethical recruitment and employment practices in the private sector level, so as to improve the livelihood of the migrant workers in Singapore. The study will focus on the whole value chain of the migrant population and identify areas for improvement before proposing relevant solutions and recommendations.
The book showcases how the participants challenged their limits and conquered the World Marathon Challenge and North Pole Marathon to inspire people to challenge their own limits and pursue their dreams boldly.
The book tells the stories behind the event which saw the largest number of people in history running 1045km round Taiwan in 19 days.
