CFA, a coding club set up by a group of enthusiastic and talented student officers at the SAS, aims to empower inspired children of Singapore with computer science and coding skills. A 10-week Scratch and Java program curriculum is specially designed to facilitate learning for the students of different levels through Google slides and interactive coding applications.

Supervised weekly lessons are currently conducted online for the students at 2 student care centres located in Jurong and Bedok. A coding corner has been set up at each centre for them to attend lessons as well as practise and revise during their spare time. Physical lessons will resume as soon as the COVID-19 situation improves.

Li Foundation is honoured to be part of this innovative and impactful project. As we integrate with more community partners in the next 5 years and beyond, peers of the current batch of student officers aim to continuously connect and expose more children to the world of technology. This translates to a multiplier effect resulting in a magnified impact.
