I thank the 200 runners who ran to raise funds for the President’s Challenge. Let’s work together to create a more caring and inclusive Singapore!
- President Halimah Yacob
The nationwide relay took place over 9 days, from 2nd – 10th November 2019. 200 runners came together to cover a distance of 2,000km across the island within 200 hours collectively, making it the largest and longest relay in Singapore’s history. This initiative raised more than S$1.6 Million for 67 charities supported by the President’s Challenge.
Regardless of age, race and religion, these runners came together to achieve a shared vision and champion the ‘Majulah’ spirit.
The book showcases how the participants challenged their limits and conquered the World Marathon Challenge and North Pole Marathon to inspire people to challenge their own limits and pursue their dreams boldly.
The book tells the stories behind the event which saw the largest number of people in history running 1045km round Taiwan in 19 days.
