The SportCares youth instructors visited the Relay Majulah Photography Exhibition in the morning of the first Sunday of 2021. The exhibition featured runners from all walks of life coming together to conquer a 2,000km challenge over 200 hours to commemorate Singapore’s bicentennial.
Mr. Gerrard Lin, the originator of Relay Majulah, conducted the exhibition tour and shared stories that took place during the event. Lionel, the founder of Li Foundation, and Ada the curator for the exhibition, also shared inspiring stories of the individuals who helped others complete the challenge, despite facing challenges of their own.
At the event, the youth instructors shared how they have learnt that giving back to the communities can come in different forms and were inspired by the runners to do their part for society.
The book showcases how the participants challenged their limits and conquered the World Marathon Challenge and North Pole Marathon to inspire people to challenge their own limits and pursue their dreams boldly.
The book tells the stories behind the event which saw the largest number of people in history running 1045km round Taiwan in 19 days.
