The 104th Lions Clubs International Convention was held from 22nd to 28th June 2022 in Montreal, Canada. This annual meeting has resumed offline after a lapse of two years. Close to 10,000 Lions gathered from around the world to attend the event.
Following the Lions tradition, a parade of Lions of all nations was held in downtown Montreal.
Mr. Brian Sheehan from Bird Island, Minnesota, United States, was elected by the General Meeting Committee as the new International President of Lions Clubs International 2022 – 2023.
Dr. Jung-Yul Choi, the Chairperson of LCIF, recognized Lion, Lionel LI for his remarkable contribution in this fundraising campaign.
Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) was elated to announce at the convention in Montreal that they successfully attained and exceeded their campaign goals, raising a total of US$325 million in this historic campaign — Campaign 100: LCIF Empowering Service. This achievement will ensure that LCIF continues to empower those serving to improve health and well-being, strengthen communities, and protect the vulnerable in the years and decades to come.
The winner of this year’s Lions Clubs International Peace Poster Contest is 13-year-old Anja Rozen from Slovenia.
Lionel invited Lion leaders from Southeast Asia to the Dragon Night Dinner.
As planned, Lions Clubs International Convention will be held in Singapore in 2028.
The book showcases how the participants challenged their limits and conquered the World Marathon Challenge and North Pole Marathon to inspire people to challenge their own limits and pursue their dreams boldly.
The book tells the stories behind the event which saw the largest number of people in history running 1045km round Taiwan in 19 days.
