Tea Session with Sportcares Youth Instructors

Sunday, 7 February 2021, was an afternoon well-spent when the Li Foundation team met up with the SportCares Youth Instructors for a tea session at the Pasir Ris Sports Centre.

We kick-started the session with the unveiling of the SportCares – Li Foundation Multisport Programme Logo. It symbolises the 3 sports that are covered in the programme: Swimming, Running and Cycling.

After which, the Youth Instructors shared their heartfelt journeys over the years through the numerous programmes organised by SportCares. Many shared how the determination and resilience they learned from these sports programmes helped them overcome personal struggles and groomed their self-confidence, inspiring them to take on a role as a Youth Instructor to give back to the community.

Li Foundation cannot be more heartened by these youths, and we hope to work together with the SportCares team to further improve the programmes and instructors’ capabilities as part of our mission to inspire and impact more youths by building a platform to maximise their potential!
