Venn2022: Rebuild, Reset, Regenerate

November 10, 2022

Asia Philanthropy Circle’s first overseas in-person venn since COVID-19 took place in Kuala Lumpur on 10th to 12th November 2022. Kicking off with a site visit to Dignity for Children Foundation, a social enterprise empowering refugees and underprivileged youth through holistic quality education, vocational training, and transformational enterprises. Li Foundation (‘LIF’) and APC members saw Dignity’s operations in action in a tour through Dignity’s facilities.

Title: Venn2022: Rebuild, Reset, Regenerate

LIF Chairman and member of APC, Lionel and team presented a new video showcase and mini-documentary festival, entitled ‘Inspiring Asia’. The segment featured videos submitted by APC members on the programmes or organisations they support, enabling members to learn more about each other’s programmes. Topics showcased varied widely from wildlife conservation, supporting persons with disability, early childhood development, healthy ageing, to arts and education, amongst others.

On day 2 of venn2022, members gathered at Tiffin by the Yard for a full day interaction that included country updates, panel sharing, games, breakout sessions and more. A closing dinner and fireside chat on Economic Transformation towards Sustainable Growth wrapped up venn2022. Day 3 was an optional side event that includes a site visit to Yayasan Chow Kit, a non-profit organisation that caters to the needs of children and teenagers in and around Chow Kit.

Yet another fruitful and learning experience for Team LIF. We look forward to venn2023 that will be held in Singapore. Let’s Rebuild, Reset, Regenerate – Navigating New Frontiers for Asian Philanthropy!
